Cookies are small files that your browser manages on your computer. When a website asks for information to be stored (in this case, your username and password for the photo ads system) your browser does this using one of these small files.
Well, that's up to you. In our opinion cookies are not bad. We believe they enhance our internet experience, and we allow their use on our own personal computers without any hesitation. They are damn convenient and sometimes NECESSARY (as in this case) for authentication systems that require you to carry around a username and password.
Emphatically, NO! Simply your username and password for the photo ads system. And when you close your browser the file will be deleted (as they are only session cookies). You may notice that when you close your browser and then open it again you will have to log back in - this is why.
Whatever... it's a free country, and we're not going to re-write the ads system just because you're running paranoid internet security settings on your browser, or running some internet security software that is set to block all cookies. Believe the hype if you like, but we've had enough of being accused of trying to do something underhand by asking people to allow their browsers to be fully functional! This site is FREE after all, and we don't ask for any money now, and nor will we ask for any in the future!
Click here to find out how to allow cookies for your browser. However, perhaps you've also installed some extra software that blocks them without you realising it. Some 'internet privacy/security' software (Norton etc.) includes rather paranoid settings that block cookies. Simply tweak it until it allows them!
Don't take our word for it - read more and make you're own decision with the Cookies FAQ.
